The clients wanted a high boundary wall for a private and secret garden. Due to the height, the wall was a concern as the client was worried it would be monotonous and overpowering.  We overcame these issues by constructing the walling using hand made stocks from the Imperial brick company. This gave a soft, rustic appearance to the brickwork. These were then laid in Flemish garden wall bond with lime mortar.

Two gothic arches were then introduced as entrances to the garden area with oversailing courses, dog toothing and brick on edge detailing being applied. This created an interesting aesthetically pleasing wall that was not overbearing.
